Arrow How to Load Email Tunes via DS Downloader to your Predator/Trinity

If you are using a Predator please read the following. If you are using a Trinity You can skip to step one below.

Predator Owners: You will need a Serial to USB converter which you can pickup at RadioShack or Best Buy type stores. If you have a laptop you will be able to power the Predator by doing all of this in the car by use of the ODB II port. If you will be loading the tune from a Desktop computer you will need a power source so I would recommend getting the Diablo PC Connection kit as it comes with a USB to Serial cord and a AC Plug so you can do this all in the house.

Here is the PC Kit

http://www.bmcspeedshop.com/product_p/u7778.htm

Here are the steps you will need to do once you have the correct connections to load the tune:

1. Download and install this program: http://www.diablosport.com/CMR/softw...er_2.2.1.4.exe
2.
  • Plug the Predator up to the AC Plug and the Serial to USB Connection (Once its hooked up to the computer Windows will install the necessary drivers it needs).
  • Plug the Trinity up to the USB port with the supplied USB Cable (comes with Trinity initial purchase).
3. Run the DS Downloader Software you Downloaded in Step 1.
4. Once DS Downloader is Loaded and has found your Predator/Trinity (It will prompt you when it does) you will see a screen with three options:
- (1. Send Tune File to Tool. 2. Get Tune File from Tool. 3. Send Crom File to tool.).
Choose the Send Tune File to Tool option. A windows explorer window will open up. Navigate to where you saved the tune files that I have sent you. And Select the tune you wish to upload to your unit. It will then prompt you for the original back up. Choose the original back up file.
5. Once the tunes are loaded on the Diablo (It will prompt you) you can disconnect the unit from the Computer.
6. Once you have plugged the Predator/Trinity into the ODB II port of the car and it has booted up, make sure to have the key in the "On" position. Choose "Performance Tunes" then "Custom Tunes" then choose the custom file you just loaded (You will see it listed on the menu). The Predator/Trinity will then load the new tune and tell you when it is safe to unplug the Predator (Trinity can be left plugged in if you are wanting to watch Real-Time Gauges) and from there you will be all setup!

If you have any questions, please let us know and er will be happy to help you either via Email or over the phone as well at 1-877-BMC-RWHP.
